Petition for America - Prayer

Father, we cry out to You for mercy and compassion! We are living in dark and dangerous times. Our churches are consumed with doubt and unbelief and our government has been infiltrated with traitors of the cross. There is a spirit of blindness that is covering the eyes of the people. We have lost our moral compass, dear Lord! Spirits of idolatry, perversion and lawlessness are running rampant. We have forsaken Your ways and we continue to drift further and further away from Your laws.

Almighty God, You are our only hope for the salvation of our people and for the healing of our land! We send out a clarion call to the Church to repent!! Time is short and there is still much to do! For Your Word says that if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

These words are for today! We as Christians must start living holy and sanctified lives. Soften the hearts of Your people to feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit! Help the remnant of this country come together in unity as they enter into their prayer closets to repent of their sins and the sins of this land! Guide us as we stand in the gap for the unbelievers. Dear God, lead our NATION to repentance!

Break all ties to rebelliousness through which this country was conceived. Push back the darkness that threatens to overtake us through our gross disobedience. Help us to be the light of the world. “A city that is set on a hill that cannot be hid.” (Matthew 5:14) Bring our country into alignment with Your righteousness and with Your Holy Word. Send spirits of truth to cleanse our land of all deception that has taken hold.

Prepare the hearts of the unbelievers to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Cause the unsaved, the backslidden and the rebellious to cry out to Jesus, confess their sins and turn from their wicked ways. Help them to break free from all idolatry and to worship and adore You, alone, Almighty God! “For the Lord God is a merciful God; He will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.” (Deut. 4:31) In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.
