Religious People or "Legalistic" people are people who believe by keeping a set of rules or man made traditions, they "achieve" righteousness with God.
4 When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. 5 But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners. Romans 4:4-5
"Religious" People are some of the most Judgmental, unloving, unhappy, condescending people there are to encounter. If you aren't following their rules you aren't worthy and are shunned.
Dear friends, Jesus is not a religion or a church. He is a relationship! If you have a grief with God; it isn't because of God. Your grief is with someone who misrepresented God. If you truly knew who Jesus is you would desire intimacy with Him rather than resentment.
Learning to recognize religion or relationship in others was a major breakthrough for me in my walk with Jesus. I hope it will be for you.
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works so that no one can boast.— Ephesians 2:8-9
It is so simple yet most fail to see it. So dear reader, when you encounter a religious person; pray for them and ask God to set them free and walk in liberty that God has given you by grace.
