You have the vision but not the provision. What do you do?
God has called you to do something great but you do not have the resources to do it. What do you do? Should you give up your passion and settle for an affordable vision?
This is the twilight zone. You stand between the natural and the supernatural and you have to make a choice. Don’t feel bad, very single vessel of God that was ever used of God has been here and has had to face the same agonizing question: “Will I operate on human power or God’s power?”
In Genesis 16:2 we see the origin of most of the wars in history: “So Sarai said to Abram, ‘See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.’ And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.” Because they saw no way for God to live up to His promise of a son, they took matters into their own hands. What a disaster!
Yet, I witness this same sin being committed by many today who are trying to make God’s will happen.
Choosing to surrender to the supernatural is the hardest choice you will ever make especially at this time! Demonic power has risen to a new level. Americans have hardened their hearts to truth. The church has stopped investing in souls. This is truly a dark time for fresh vision.
Where do I stand on the question of the supernatural? For me there is no question.
Let me put it this way…there is unprecedented hatred toward Christian movements outside the church and massive unbelief about new movements within the church. Therefore, this is the perfect time for you to start a movement!
Like never before, God is calling people to live in the impossible. The times demand it, the shortness of time requires it and the fact is…nothing else will get the job done now.
In other words, you never really had a choice. Miracle provision is no longer the wispy aspiration of spooky seers. We are now in a situation where every day and in every way we must have miracles and we must know how to draw on invisible resources.
How do you get from where you are to a life of daily miracles?
1. Realize that you are already supernatural. Paul’s rebuke to the Galatians is clear: “Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?” –Galatians 3:3.
It is not a matter of starting a new life in the supernatural but retracing your steps to see at what point you began to take matters into your own hands. You can’t help but make a painful discovery: You saw miracles, you saw God provide but when it was all over you reverted to human ways of living.
A good way to fix this is through worship. Raise your heart and hands and say “Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”- Psalm 103:1-5
This is when it hits you: God has kept me through astonishing storms. I am supernatural.
2. Dare to make decisions based on what God has said to you and not on human reasoning. From this point on, make decisions that will grate against your flesh and conventional rationale.
Proverbs 3:5-10 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.”
3. Endure the dark night of the soul. No supernatural provision ever came without a test. It always involves waiting. Once you have hung your hopes on a miracle you must endure the gap time between promise and fulfillment.
They say that when God closes one door He opens another…but I say that it can be hell in the hallway! Now you must remember who you are trusting. Remember His character. He is all powerful and utterly trustworthy.
What do you do in the meantime? The best advice comes from Psalm 27:14 “Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Abraham couldn’t wait, King Saul couldn’t wait and the results were devastating. You can make a different choice and do it by seizing the promise that God will strengthen your heart as you wait.
The most important result of waiting for heaven’s provision is that you will build a track record of miracles that will weaken the enemy’s future attacks.
Finally, the world needs what God has put within you. It needs it now. Miracle based believers are the weapon of choice in this hour.
