May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my mind be good and helpful so that I may be an encouragement to those around me. May I be kind, tenderhearted and forgiving with patience in all things. I choose compassion over anger, kindness over rage and forgiveness over bitterness. I bring all thoughts captive to Christ Jesus and bridle my tongue. (Ephesians 4:26-27) I fix my thoughts on Jesus and all that is true and honorable and right and pure and lovely and admirable. I think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. (Philippians 4:6-8)( 2 Tim 1:7)
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. I have not received a spirit that makes me a fearful slave. Instead, I received God’s Spirit when he adopted me as his own child. Now I call him, “Abba, Father.” And I know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans 8:1;15; 28)
Amen
As the world grows more chaotic everyday it can be hard as a Christian to find peace in our daily walk. Its easy to find oneself weary in well doing or angry, frustrated, sad, discouraged or depressed. It is the enemies plan to wear us down and if we lose focus on Jesus and Gods word we can find ourselves in a rut or even a desperate situation. I found myself in such a rut recently. I wrote this prayer as a prayer that I read daily at the beginning of each day and the close of each night. There is tremendous power and value when we declare God's word out loud over ourselves and in agreement with what He says about us. I hope you find it a valuable tool in your daily walk. God Bless!
